Class Trips & STEM Days

We bring the science to you. One class or the whole school, in your own gym or classrooms — hands-on stations run by our scientists, linked to the Nova Scotia curriculum.

No bus. No supervision ratios. No risk assessment. A typical out-of-school trip spends more than half its budget on the coach before a single child has done anything. We come to you, so all of it goes on the science — and nobody loses an hour of the day travelling.

You don't have to decide now — most schools don't.

4 Who should we talk to?

This sends us a request — we'll confirm the date and the scientists before anything is final. Nothing is charged today; we invoice on booking, due on the day.

Questions schools ask

Who pays for this?

Most schools use their SAC allocation, Student Support Grant or Healthy Schools funding — all of which name class trips and in-school presentations as eligible. A typical Nova Scotia school receives around $20,000 a year across those pots without applying for anything. We're happy to put a quote in writing for your SAC meeting.

Do we need to arrange a bus?

No. We come to you, which is usually the single biggest saving — and it means no supervision ratios, no permission forms for travel, and no lost time on the road.

What does a day actually look like?

Our scientists set up stations and rotate your classes through them. Each class gets hands-on time; nobody sits and watches. We bring everything and clear up afterwards.

Does it link to the curriculum?

Yes — we match activities to Nova Scotia science outcomes for the grades attending. Tell us your grades and we'll send the outcomes covered, which you can put straight into a funding application.

What if we have to cancel?

Let us know as early as you can and we'll move the date. Snow days are rescheduled, not charged.
